Mukhyamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana (MSSY) is a flagship initiative under the Uttarakhand renewable energy scheme aimed to provide employment opportunities to unemployed Youth, Farmers and Migrant persons through Solar Energy.
Uttarakhand's "Mukhayamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana" offers self-employment by setting up a 20-200 KW solar plant, generating up to Rs. 1.5 lakh monthly income by selling electricity at Rs. 4.64 per unit.
The Uttarakhand government is fast-tracking solar projects in 1000 villages, aiming for 2000 MW of solar capacity by 2025 and 4000 MW by 2027, ensuring sustainable growth through the Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Scheme.
It is estimated that the capacity will be 600 MW for large projects, 250 MW FOR residential projects and 700 MW for commercial industry projects, 350 MW for institutions and 50 MW for agriculture.
– This scheme enables participants to earn a fixed income of ₹1.5 lakh monthly for up to 25 years through solar energy production. – High rate of return on low capital investment due to 50% subsidy on solar plant cost + bank interest subsidy of Rs. 5 lakh per year for 3 years. – Stress-free loans will be available from corporate banks and nationalized bank.
