https://renergyinfo.com/hitachi-is-dedicating-to-carbon-neutrality-by-installing-solar-power-plants/Hitachi Astemo is a significantly new technology company that entered the automotive market in 2021. Hitachi Astemo has ambitious growth and environmental goals. Hitachi Astemo is dedicated to developing, manufacturing, selling, and servicing industrial machinery and systems, in addition to automotive and transportation components.

Hitachi Astemo produces brake systems (disc brakes and drum brakes) for 3-wheelers and 4-wheelers at its Jalgaon plant in addition to foundry work. These systems help to increase end-user safety, which raises the standard of living for citizens.

Hitachi Astemo announced the construction of a 3-megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar power plant at its Jalgaon manufacturing facility. The solar power plant, which has 7128 ground-mounted solar panels and 10 inverters, is constructed over an area of 43301 square meters.

This is Hitachi Astemo’s first solar power plant in India, marking an energy industry’s new beginning and a step towards creating a sustainable environment. It will help fulfil the Prime Minister’s goal of making India carbon neutral by 2070 as well as Hitachi’s mission of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.

The installation of the solar power facility demonstrates Hitachi Astemo’s dedication to lowering costs, enhancing sustainability, and improving the quality of power. The plant will assist in lowering electricity consumption costs as well as eradicating nearly 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, which is equivalent to planting about 150,000 trees.

The business is renowned for constructing Japan’s biggest mega-solar generating system. The company is concentrating on providing other renewable energy sources in addition to solar energy. The business already has projects underway in India that harness renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydropower to create electricity.
